Fundraising guidelines
Campaigns that follow these guidelines are approved faster and raise more.
Do
- • Tell the truth about the beneficiary, the need and the amounts involved.
- • Use photos and videos you own or have permission to share.
- • Explain exactly how every shilling will be used in the fund breakdown.
- • Keep one clear beneficiary per campaign.
- • Post progress updates with photos once donations start arriving.
- • Respond to comments and messages from supporters.
- • Withdraw only what the campaign has raised, for the stated purpose.
Don't
- • Exaggerate or invent medical conditions, debts or emergencies.
- • Use stock photos of other people's hardship as your own.
- • Raise funds for political campaigns, gambling, or prohibited goods.
- • Promise donor rewards or returns on donations.
- • Reuse the same story across duplicate campaigns.
- • Redirect funds to bank accounts not named in your verification.

- • A clear selfie holding your ID
- • Proof of residence (utility bill or letter)
- • Hospital bills or quotations (medical campaigns)
- • School fee structure or admission letter (education)
- • Registration certificate (organisations)
