Privacy Policy

Data we collect

Account data: your name, email address, phone number, county and town, and account type (individual, organisation or community).

Verification data: for organisers — ID number, ID document images, a selfie and proof of residence, plus organisation name and registration number where applicable. These are used only for identity verification and withdrawal review.

Donation data: donation amounts, payment method and references, and any name, email or phone you choose to share. Anonymous donations do not display your name.

Technical data: session information stored in your own browser to keep you signed in.

How we use your data

To operate campaigns and donations, verify organisers, review withdrawals, issue receipts, prevent fraud, and provide support.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who can see what

Your name, county and verification badge are visible on campaigns you organise. Your email and phone are never shown publicly.

Organisers see the donor name on donations to their campaigns unless the donation is anonymous.

Verified administrators can view verification documents strictly for review purposes, and every admin action is recorded in an audit log.

Storage and security

Data is stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database. Row-level security restricts each user to their own records; public pages only expose campaign and donation information intended to be public.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@donorsarena.com. We respond within 30 days.

This policy is designed to comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
